    ULT reactivity?

I have read many times how the reactivity has been reduced drastically in the ULT mod. My question is: with my AGD Flatline regulator, if I raise the output pressure going into my X-Valve, will the ULT have more reactivity? Basically I want a very light trigger pull with a good bounce back.

It should raise the reactivity. I've only used my ult with a preset, so I don't know how much it will raise it.

yeah, it'll increase the reactivity, same proportion as the classic on/off. mine rips at a lot lower input pressure than i could run with the original, so watch out for the bounce

What do you mean watch out for the bounce? Isn't that a good thing?

Raven, bounce is not a good thing. It is when you fire a ball and the valve resets before you have finished your stroke. If you have a high reactivity then the gun will fire again. Meaning that you fired one on the forward pull and one while your letting the trigger fall back into position. You will get DQ for trigger bounce. This rule is more or less mostly made so electronic guns cant use burst or auto, but if a ref sees it he will DQ you. This is only if you are playing at a field. If you are just a rec player dont worry about it. A little advantage against others isnt bad.

i'm interested in this too. I want to know how fast it can still bounce with an input pressure of about 900 psi from a nitro duck xstream. Can it reach the same amount of reactiveness with the right pressure or is it going to be noticeably less. I'm just askin before it's too late to have tunaman add it to my ule custom.

I'm not even on a team and have never played a tourney in my life. I think it would be cool to but I just don't have tons of money to blow on paintball. If I had a paint sponsor and someone to pay my fees, I might consider tourney ball. Until then, I will continue playing rec-ball with my: Super-Trigger Bouncy-Runaway-Z Man-Type-X Valved-OUtta conTrol Minimag. I think I might start to play on feilds with a 3000 psi SCUBA pony bottle feeding direct pressure into my Mag. Maybe my Mag will shoot 30bps?

Well, if you want reactivity, skip the ULT. If your going reactive, the original on/off will be alot more fun. The reason I have ULT is I want to play tourneys, but If you don't mind a tourney illegal trigger, the original on/off will be faster (assuming you have an adjustable HPA)

                      my situation

alright, i started out with a classic mag, i put x-vavle, ult, lvl 10, andintelliframe. i have a preset 68/3000 PMI 850psi output tank, whats the best way to get my reactivity up, i need it. the pull is light, but i cant shoot really fast, or walk it or anything. i think i can get around 8 bps rightnow max... must use the potential of my x-valve.

Add shims to the ULT, and don't be afraid to use lvl10 shims as well. I currently use 5 ULT shims and 1 lvl10 shim, which is twice the thickness of the ULT shims. I tried having 4 ULT shims and 2 lvl10 shims, but that made it too reactive, actually possible to sweetspot a little, and that's on 750 psi =)

I only have like 2 ult shims in my x valve and I still have quite a bit of bounce. Its not too noticeable but I don't play tournaments so it doesn't bother me. I just don't flaunt it in front of refs. I can sweet spot much easier than I thought I would be able too. I had pretty good reactivity before I got ult, now its just lighter with some bounce. I think Its my tank i have a preset crossfire. Unfortunately I don't have a port on my asa to gauge and I don't feel like going through the hassel of trying to rig one up on the line somewhere. Its not worth it, its not like I'm going to get rid of my tank and being a preset there is nothing I can do for it. It is far from what I call dangerous and I play fair and honest so I'm not concerned with the bounce. I can set my e-blade up to bounce worse than this if that tells you anything. This just ceases to function if you try to tweak the bounce on mine, however the e-blade I can set up to where it still fires even after you take your fingers off the trigger. Now thats bounce and thats dangerous.

thanks guys, i'll try some stuff out and get back to you on what works, if nothing does, i'll have to work on my finger control since it's a huge part of firing too.

I had 5 ult shims in the ult, so i tried to add 1 lvl 10 shim, but the top part of the on/off wouldnt screw back on, so i took out a ult shim and added a lvl 10 one. Now I have 4 ult shims and 1 lvl 10 in it - I added a bit of oil too. I could definately tell a difference when i fired, it's easy to shoot really fast now, but a little harder to shoot 2 or 3 shots with 1 finger. I'll prolly mess around a bit more to customize it to how i shoot, thanks.
