I can not get my gun to shoot under 300FPS with the middle spring with the cut end. Why???

Also, is it OK to trim the middle spring more to try and get the velocity to come down some?

If you trim the spring, your velocity will actually go up. Trying using a longer spring (the longest, in this case).
