Get yourself a parts kit and replace the reg seat (it's the big thick oring that you see when you take the valve halves apart).

i highly doubt it and you might as well get a parts kit because then you get ball detents bolt spring and a bunch of other orings which can be very useful.

No. When you actually see the reg seat oring, you'll see that it's kinda special.

Ok thanks. What will putting in a new O-ring actually do to fix this?

When that o-ring is put in, the valve will no longer be losing air. That said.

He said "AIR" Valve. The reg seat in an AIR valve is NOT an oring. It is a circular flat piece of plastic that is fatter on one side and snaps in only one way. You need a mag parts kit. Let me know if you want one.

I think I need one. I put the air up to my gun, and air comes out the barrel. I pull in the trigger and it quits (but dosent shoot). Would that solve my problem?

The parts kit will solve almost all issues and gives it a refreshing tune-up too.
