    Hissing after firing

I was looking in the sticky but could not find the exact problem I have. I have a classic valve with lvl X and the ULT. I have 4 lvl X shims in the bolt, the medium spring and Quite a few shims in my ULT. After I shoot I am getting a hiss before the bolt resets. I went to the larger spring and I removed 2 shims from my ULT to eliminate having to put my finger in and reset the bolt. But I am still getting this hiss! What should I do? The carrier is broken in and everything is very oiled. I have around 1200 psi showing in my PMI preset tank. Please help.

you sure that you're not using a carrier that is 1 size too small....this may lead to a snug fit and with a realy touchy LX setup (which it seems that you have) the bolt may not be going back with enough force.... take some of the friction out of the system by using a larger carrier.... mind you, use the same carrier o-ring...

    keep us posted.

Take out a couple of LX shims to start. Use the middle red spring or the short spring. The long spring leaves to much residual pressure in the chamber which could add to the bolt stick problem. If you have to reset the bolt manually, then you probably are using a carrier that is too tight. Its possible that the tolerances have changed a bit as the carrier o-ring gets broken in. If you have the original on/off, put it back in and retune the level 10 using it. Then tune the ULT starting with just a few shims.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

That sounds like a plan. Thanks for the info. I am beginning to think 4 LX shims is too much
