full auto out if the box.......

Hi This is my first post
I am a new ouner of an automag RT ULE with the ULT. I got a problem. It fires full auto. I tried tightening the rear guard screw with an allan key, playing with shims, velocity etc...... nothing seems to work.

    wont someone please help me?

    What's your input pressure?
You say you tried removing shims from the ULT?

My input is 800PSI. I added first. that did nothing but stiffen the trigger a little. I then tried a few combos. I got the stock 2 in it now.

Hmm, that's really odd. Have you looked at the sear to make sure it doesnt have some sort of defect or anything?
Have you tried the ULT with no shims at all?
Did you buy it brand new from AGD or used??

Brand spanking new from AGD (3 days) and yes I tried it with out shims. I don't know about the sear, it looks good, but then I don't know what "good" is.

Did you read the link? It says that the ULT can be very reactive until it's broken in. It can take 4000-5000 shots before it's broken in.

                  Hey azathoth,

Welcome to AO. The ULT in the RT Pro can be a little tempramental when it's new. Make sure the ULT and Level 10 are well oiled. Drop down to about 2 or 3 ULT shims and just play around with it for a while and see if it calms down any. Play a full day of rec ball with it to break it in.

Let us know how it shoots after you've run a case of paint through it. It might still give you a little trouble, but you should begin to notice a change.

                  Hope this helps,

If you pull the trigger and hold it back, does it still go full auto?

If so,you have a problem in the on/off assembly.Either a bad o-ring or something in it is assembled incorrectly.
