    Some questions about an autococker...

Ok so I got this autococker I'm guessing it's a 98 ish it's an F/X autococker looks a lot like the micromags same style of ball detent. I understand how these things work but being that I lived around tippmann products and mag stuff I really don't know what would make this thing shoot better. It's stock and i mean stock... i was out shooting it with my new HPa tank and i just realized how 1) inaccurate and 2) how crappy the trigger pull is. I was too lazy to put it over the crony to see where my fps was but the last time i shot it was right around 280. I don't want to put a lot of money into this I got better things to spend my money on (my new mag...) but I got it I figure the two things i mentioned really need worked on.

*Is it worth that much to replace the front pneumatic stuff? I mean i'm sure you gain in this area but i'm not taken this to no turny...
*I know it needs a new barrel the stock sucks but should i move up to a better bolt too? What kind of bolt should I be looking for (cheap and useful mind you!)
*Finally the trigger. Just tell me what I can do for cheap. I like two finger triggers but once again the trigger style on this thing is just weird and I don't ever know what to be looking for!

    Thanks in advanced!

Is it safe to assume by your post that you do not understand cockers? If you do not understand them DO NOT mess with your trigger. The whole timing of the marker is based on the postion of the sear/3-way. If you adjust your trigger at all your timing will be WAY off and the marker will either not shoot right or will be a chop-o-matic. Get on line and start reading the theroy of auto cockers and then go from there. (you need a trigger job, and they are not hard, but you have to know what you are doing)

The front block upgrades are not that important to you unless you demand super high rates of fire (e-blade) or super consistancy (useless unless you have a good barrel kit) The only thing that would help you is a 3way. I recommend a bomb 3-way, but again DO NOT mess with this unless you are comfortable timing a cocker or your will have problems. A new LPR with an adjustment screw is nice if you need to tweek the LPR during a game, or to make the marker "pinch" paint (advanced setup. dont worry about that right now either, but read about it)

To be honest I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer and I feel pritty comfortable with the timing of autocockers. I timed it once because a friend of mine took it apart to clean it and he couldn't get it to shoot right after that. I was wandering if a new 3-way would help but the stock trigger is so stiff and so long of a pull. I don't need any high rate of fire just want to feel more comfortable with the trigger and get better accuracy with it. My old prolite is more accurate than this thing right now lol!!!

I assume this is a slider frame with a brass 3-way?

If your trigger plate is sloppy in the frame, I'd just go with a stock '03 WGP hinge frame.

If the plate is pretty tight, I would purchase one of the Omega roller trigger plate and sear off ebay for $15. While on ebay, I'd also look for a Shocktech Bomb 3-way or an Orracle/CT 3-way.

Those two should help the feel of your trigger.

There are a lot of resources online for Autocockers, as you would imagine. If you do a Google search for, "Autococker Timing" you should get several useful hits.
          God gave you a soul.
          Your parents, a body.
          Your country, a rifle.

          Keep all of them clean.
