    RT bounce problems...

just recently, i've been getting a lot of bounce out of my RTP. i mean, we're talking a monkey could bounce this. i've had this one since december, and it only started acting up in the last few weeks, when i dropped a ULT in (one shim sticks, 2 shims and she's running like z-man's videos). i've heard the ULT is tempermental when breaking in, and i've only got about 20 hrs of field time for it so far. i lost patience with it, and switched back to the stock on/off - same thing. it's completely unusable (unless you guys have some way to circumvent the chrono ref), i've even dropped the input pressure to no avail (i've ran as high as 1050 with this same set-up w/out bounce). here's the digits:
    input: 700psi
    LX: 1.5 carrier, 2 shims
    on/off: stock
    x-valve
if i've left anything out, please let me know. it's not the sear catch - i swapped in a minimag valve and it shot fine, as did the ULT in the minimag. thanks in advance

upon closer inspection, now me-thinks it is the sear catch. after seeing that i'm not supposed use the ULT in a classic valve - and explaining why i was shortstroking it worse than a 'cocker, i put the original on/off back in. i shouldn't be able to bounce a minimag, should i? well, i've got the mini's rail on the ULE so she works....but before i replace the sear assembly, i want to make sure that's what it is. there's no signs of wear, and they're supposed to be pretty hearty anyways....any suggestions before i drop the $30?
