    ReTro Valve Question

Ok, there is a steel retro valve, and an aluminium valve, correct?

The aluminium one will accept the ULT, the steel one wont without being drilled out for two orings.

My question, is which one is this valve? I cant tell by looking, unfortunately, I dont have the marker in front of me, just the picture of it.

Better yet, if someone has a site with the visual differences in the valves, that would be even better.

Sorry about the n00bish question. I wasnt able to find anything by searching, or the historic posts. Unless I entered the wrong criteria.

Unfortunately there is no visual difference on the outside. You have to take the valve out, remove the on/off assembly and look in the hole.

    Sorry.

I was afraid of that, but figured....

Thats a shame. Its on one im going to purchase, but I dont have it yet. I didnt know if there was a trick to tell it apart like on many other markers.

      Thanks for the help though.

There is no all steel retro valve, All the back 1/2's were aluminum. Get the valve...any retro valve. We have a guy that drills the step no problem. Dont let that discourage you from getting a good deal.

Im not gonna let it discourage me from buying it. Ive always wanted a mag, and this is my ticket to one.

I was just very interested in the ult, and thought I had read about some Rts not having the step, and some having it.

So, airgun will drill it out for me if I decide to go that route? The first thing im gonna do to it though is get a lvl10.

I don't think AGD will drill the valve, but there is someone who does. Tunaman seems to know who, so just check with him when you want to do that.
