ReTro to X-valve upgrade...

Right now I have a ReTro valve w/ Lvl 10 bolt. However, after a friend of mine go an x-valve, and I realized how much lighter it is (and it's black), I am not in want of an x-valve. However, the only system AGD has is to trade in your classic valve and bolt for a $100 discount, with no additional discount for ReTro or lvl 10. So my question is: what would be the best way of going about this? I was thinking to maybe trade my lvl 10 and ReTro for someones classic bolt + valve + cash, then trade those into AGD for the x-valve, which comes with lvl 10. Whaddya think? Also, how much does it cost to get the lvl 10 tuned by AGD? Thanks.

sell the lvlX and retro apart or together in the misc section you can prob get close to $150 or so then use that towards the valve

I would be skeptical about getting a go x-valve. I have that and it is leaking out of the barrel all of a sudden. I tried all the methods seen on posts, but it hasn't fixed anything. I would say just sell the retro and buy an x-valve.

where would I get an x-valve w/o lvl10?

You wouldn't want an x-valve without it because they come stock with 1.

im just saying that because I already have a lvl 10, so if I could get the x-valve for cheaper without a bolt, then I would be interested. Looks like the $250 from paintballgear.com is the best way to go.

ReTro-Valves and X-valves are so similar that I wouldn't worry about it unless you REALLY want it black. The weight is very close too.

is the weight really that close? I started wanting an x when I disassembled my marker and held the ReTro valve in my hand and realized how heavy it was; I think tomorrow I'll get my friend's X-valve and compare them (if he lets me).

x-valves are definatley noticable weight wise...i got mine by go x-valve and have had no problems at all with it...

Xvalves are 3oz lighter than the stock RT valve.

Actually, AGD will take the ReTro as part of the trade-in deal but it's not worth it. Just sell the ReTro and Level 10 for $150 like I did. I also asked the buyer to give me his old valve. I took the cash and valve, then got myself a new black X-Valve for only $75 .
