    Reactive

    Hey,
Just got my spanky new RT-ULE from AGD.
Gassed it up, put some paint through it, can't get it to be reactive.
I'm using an AA Apoc 114/3000, and have tried everything from 700 to 1100 psi and still no go. When I pull just barely hard enough to shoot, it doesn't reset; it really doesn't feel like it's "kicking" the trigger back to me at any pressure. I do not have the ULT.
My local airsmith/guru thinks that it should be reactive from the beginning, even before I put the first case or two through it.
    Any thoughts?

P.S. - No leaks, shoots normally otherwise, but I want it to sweetspot too since I'll mostly be recballing with it. I have other markers for tourneys (I have an eblade and know what electro bounce feels like).

P.P.S. - I've been through Zak's wonderful site, and meet all the criterion set forth therein for rapid fire.

I seem to have the exact same problem as you - I kinda just gave up.
It shoots good and is tourny legal so thats always good

I've tried 800-1100 psi and the largest carrier that doesn't leak, I've oiled the on/off pin, put about five cases of paint through it, and still nothin.

RT-ULE, No ULT, Smallest level 10 spring, and lots of oil. I've also been through Z-man's website but couldn't find a solution.

Same problem here. Havnt played with it enough (still learning) to attempt to fix it but the trigger was not reactive out of the box. No ULT either.

Sorry guys I was on a road trip and just got back.

Well I must say this could be another area I have yet to deal with.

If you both have checked to make sure

1- your on/off pins are the correct length 0.750 inches

2- Your Sear pins are in spec 1.985 inches

3- your velocity is at least like 270+fps (just ballpark it)

4- your tanks are full and cranked up to like 900+psi

then it would appear you are doing everything correct. Though it would seem very odd for 2 different markers with the same tank to have the same problem (especially when its a tank system known to be top quality)there is the small chance that is the case. So my suggestion is for either of you (if you can) try another adjustable tank preferably a 4500psi system. Humor me please and let me know what you find. I might have to do some more testing myself.

zman..... .750 for the rtp on/off pin length?.... isnt that what you have to use for the classic on/off and the ULT??? i thought that the stock rt pin was .765 in length..... i guess you could use the 750 pin and up the reactivity that-a-way.... you're the the stock on/off Xpert tho... i'm more a ult man myself.... as you know.

              My Bad

sorry I get presumptuous late at night. Just make sure its .750 if it's an X and .765 if its the stock RT valve. It's all laid out on Black VCG's stickied specs thread.

                Ok,
I'll go through it and make sure the pin & sear are set to spec, although it would be funny if my mag arrived from the factory - out of factory spec. If it is, I'll never let them live that one down :o

I'm thinking that I may go ahead and rebuild the reg on my tank, as it is an older one. Might even splurge for a 4500 tank to put on it as well - we'll see what deals are out there.

                  i have a question guys...
                  i have a ULE LX/X-valve setup
i can catch the reativeness very easily ( with this i can keep up with the big boys and their very expensive electros )

how do i tone it down so it wont be reactive anymore?
is there a way to mask it or maybe in someway turn it off...
i can shoot 15bps out of it with no effort at all...

sure, if you are running on an adjustable tank, lower your input pressure a little at a time unitl the trigger feels more manageable.

If you are running a preset, make sure that the on/off pin is in spec (listed above). If it's short you can get that kind of reactivity out of a preset tank but, of course, you have little control over it.

Got a chance to fiddle with it, put 6 drops of AGD supplied oil down the ASA and it works...
                      Amazing.
