Annodizing Automag Parts...

I was thining about getting some parts annodized. They include:

Xvalve
ULE Body
Freak Back
Freak Front
Intelliframe Trigger


How do you anno an xvalve?? Half of it is stainless steel and many of the parts inside are too. Also, is the intelliframe trigger aluminum?? ...The actual trigger, not the whole frame.

dont anno the xvalve- it will void you warranty and change its tolerances- which could be very, very bad.

Ulebody can be reannoed
im sure the freak front can be annoed but im not sure about the back
and the intelliframe can be, but im not sure abou the actual trigger- ive seen a black one but it didnt look annoed to me

Xvalve- valve body can be done,has been done and will definately void the warranty.

ULE Body-can be done,must remove steel insert first.

Freak Back-Aluminum freak back,yes-SS freak back,no.

Freak Front-yes

Intelliframe Trigger-yes

The aluminum "X" valve body can be anno'd.It must be completely disassembled.You will have "NO" warranty afterwards but it has been done without problems before,however that will not be guaranteed by the anno'er.

if i'm not mistaken tunaman here on AO can help you out with the annodizing, i have seen him produce some custom anno'ed guns including the valves. I could be mistaken for someone else though...

Remove steel insert from ULE body???

Yep. Take the barrel out and you'll see the bolt and a ring around it. That's stainless steel.

And Tuna's custom guns get to him un-ano'd. His valves are RAW. Only he can get them. After ano, he sends them to AGD for serial #.

if you get the Freak back anno'd, be sure to take the gems off. They will be ruined unless you remove them before.
