Yes you can. You have to tap the hole with a 4-40 Tap, then use all your old safety parts and it will work. Hope this helps...If you need more help with this, please don't hesitate to contact me.

umm, well i don't really know what you mean by tap the thingamabob...since im 13, and my bro tried to put in the old safety last time and like really crapped it up...so i dont have any safety parts -
