    The gun of the future

with the warpfeed and the qloader out now, and other stuff still in development, with electronics and intellifeeds and HPA and smaller and smaller pneumatics, here is what I think will be the paintball gun to have in the next few years.

1: a backpack consisting of a big-*** HPA tank, and a powered force-feed loader with 2000 round capacity

2: remote air and paint hoses go to a fitting on the non-trigger-hand wrist

3: breech, barrel, and valve attached to #2's fitting, valve is solenoid operated

4: trigger grip looks like those finger-exercisers that martial artists use
( http://tinyurl.com/2xzzt ). it will be a 5-finger trigger, which you fire by wiggling your fingers all at once (think of the way you move your fingers while shouting "jinx! jinx!" at sports on television). the trigger will be connected to the gun by either Bluetooth, or a wire run into the backpack and down your other arm.

5: basically, one hand points at the target, the other hand wiggles to fire. 30-40bps easy

somebody copyright this before SP and WDP both claim rights to it.

All those ideas are really bad. It's just gonna be too complex/heavy for most players. Nobody's gonna lug a case of paint and a scuba tank around. Guns are just gonna get faster, and more compact. That's about it.

an 8 pod harness full of 150 round pods is 1200 rounds, plus 200 ongun, plus some guys hand-carry an extra "football" of 300 in tournaments, don't they?

some guys are already carrying nearly a full case of paint!

and they'll make a halfcase version for the front guys.

as for the airtank, maybe not a scuba tank, but a 128/4500? (64/45 for the smaller version)

and a few years ago constant air tanks were going to destroy the game. ;-)

besides, these guns WILL be faster and more compact. think of how little there would be to shoot at if all you had to do was extend your hand past a bunker?

keep watching... once these things are available with lots of replaceable aluminum parts, everyone will have one in every color of the rainbow...

actually, instead of larger tanks, they will be higher pressure and the same size. This will increase shot count.
The markers will be bottom fed and run off something alot like a q-loader.
Light fast and NO profile is the future.

I would like to see a 68/9000 tank. It would get rid of the efficency problems forever. Thats about 1700 shots on a mag with level 10 or about 3000 on an ir3. Woulnt that be nice!

Yes, untill you touched it, then it would explode
              9000 psi is INSANEEE
I dont think that we're going to have any paintball guns, or ANYTHING for that matter, using 9000 psi for a looong time.
4500 psi is already alot of psi!

Well im sure that when tom came up with 3000psi air tanks people asked him if he was on crack! I think its only a matter of time before someon makes 9000 psi tanks. Heck, someone makes 5000 psi tanks!

HAIR mags are definately the markers of the future. No batteries but you still get a 2oz trigger pull. Coupled with all ule/milled parts and an x-valve w/ lvl 10 +ult... there's no cons I could think of. Oh and a qloader type hopper to reduce profile. Basically everything will be smaller and lighter. Just think, a cellphone sized marker... lol...

I called it the, "Backman Backpack" and had considered developing something like it. Sadly, it's already been made, though the name escapes me.

not a full-sized scuba tank. Not to be sexist, but they make smaller sized scuba tanks for women (they breathe less air, ergo need less). One of these is probably like a 400ci 4500psi; thats like 6,000 shots! That and a warp-feed type thing on your back, with tubes going to the gun will be the future.

the whole connect to your backpack thing is stupid IMO
too much stuff connecting that might break
faster, smaller, simpler, cooler is defeinatly the way to go
BTW, i wouldn't want to shoot something that's the size of a pager
too flimsy and just not cool

Why would you bother? You get a ULT to reduce the trigger pull. But with the hair, the pull is already only two ounces. A ULT would be pointless.

Oh yeah, that guys idea. IMO, totally dumb. The future of guns is being faster, lighter and smaller. Yeah, HPA tanks will stay the same size, but I'm sure they will get higher in pressure like said before. It'll definitely be interesting to see what people come up with in the future.
