    Sear movement distance???

I tried a search but I couldn't come up with anything. I want to know how much the sear moves when you pull the trigger to let the bolt go, I'm researching building a pnuematic mag and need to know how much of a throw the ram will need.

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

depends on the location of the ram as to the exact stroke of the ram, but just move the sear from all the way forward, back to the point where the bolt catching part of the sear is flush with the inside of the body. that's a good basic minimum movement distance. then measure this amount of travel at whatever point on the sear you lan to attach you ram.

I think you'll find that a 3/16" stroke will be plenty.

I think i came up with .130" of travel for the part of the sear that pushes the on/off pin up.

Thanks alot electrician, I'm tinkering with the idea of making a pnuemag until the hAir trigger comes out. My only worry is without MAJOR modification I won't be able to make it worth the trouble (IE- better than the ULT) I want to try to keep the amount of milling to my Y grip as little as possible, and if I can't then maybe I'll get a cocker grip instead. Any words of wisdom before I head over to your Emag thread and the cockermag hybrid thread? Thanks alot =)

Contact punishers customs. They did a pneu mag and it supposedly came out great. Maybe they can help you.
