I was finally able to gas up the RT Pro I bought...

And there was some serious leaking going on. The gun was making a sputtering noise, and then when I held down the trigger it just leaked like crazy. Any idea what this could be? From what I could tell by taking it apart, the O rings that I got to did not appear to be damaged. Any suggestions?

Tried turning the velocity all the way in, and it didn't make a difference. How can I make the pressure higher?

And when I say leaking, I mean its taken around 800 psi out of my tank in about 25 total seconds on being aired up.

can you identify where the leaking is coming from? is it from the powertube (listen in the breach), the trigger or the rear of the valve? I suspec that your lvl10 may not be tuned.

It doesn't have a level 10 (at least the guy didn't mention it, and I would think he would have).

I took the barrel off and turned the nitro on again, and a series of things happened. First it was leaking through the bolt and down the body, then I pull the trigger and it leaked through the velocity adjuster for a few seconds. Then, the bolt started moving back and forth on its own, but didn't move all the way back and forward.

I belive that if it is an RtPro it has a LVL10 inside
If you have the LVL10 chek the conf try to move to a smaller carrier

This is an older RT Pro, before they came with intelliframes, so I really don't think it has level 10 inside. If it does, I don't have any of the parts for it.

Does it have a twist lock barrel?
My old RT used to do that once in a while. If you twist the barrel like you were going to remove it, and give the end of the barrel a little 'wack' It would stop sputtering and leaking.

                  Situation sounds similar at least.

Longshot, but there aren't many other suggestions.

Wow man... I think that mgiht have done it! I actually got to fire it!

New problem though... The gun shoots once, and then when I pull the trigger a few times, it burps each time. Then every once in a while it lets air out of the velocity adjuster hole. Any ideas with that?

First thing I would do is put a couple drops of air oil in the ASA and gas it back up. I never have had a leak from the velocity adjuster though.

I bought an RT Pro off of ebay a couple months ago and had similiar problems. After fiddling with it and giving it a good cleaning and oiling, the leaks stopped, but I did have the burping problem you talked about. Check to see if your asa is the kind with the allen screw for a pin. Mine had that and it sucked. I replaced it with a system x dropforward/asa and it works good. The problem with the allen head is that if you don't screw in your air supply the allen head pin will seal off your air supply, and you won't get the pressure you need fast enough, thus making the valve charge very slowly.

Just a thought, hope it helps.

Thanks guys, finally got it working! Cleaned it one more time, bought some new oil (couldn't find what I had before ), and it works as good as new. Now all I need is a powerfeed flug and I am ready to go!
