Just got back inside from trying out the lates mod to the emag. Unbelievable!!!
I moved the hall sensor to the bottom of the trigger guard and moved the magnet to the bottom of the trigger, effectively doubling the length the sensor is from the pivot for the trigger and shortening the pull.
Theoretically the pull length should reduce be 1/2, but it seems to be slightly less than that. Either way it is a lot faster and a lot easier to maintain a steady rate while walking. It easily outran my egg, and the Halo with Victory board was needed to keep up.
I moved the return magnet from the top of the frame to the location where the hall sensor was, and mounted it so it oposes the magnet in the middle of the trigger. This is now the return. It feels better to me since it starts out lighter and gets heavier the more you pull the trigger.
I'm going to tap the trigger in the top where the old return magnet was and place a set screw to adjust the return position a little better.
Manual mode still works as before.
I'll fill in the milled grove next to cover the wiring.
This is by far the best thing to happen to my emag since the level 10.
