New X-Valve. what else do i need.

I will be rebuilding a mini-mag that I originally bought in 98. Other than barrels and an expansion chamber the mag is bone stock. I will be adding an X-valve, switching to HPA, adding a y-grip, and a q-loader.

What else do I need to add to my list of small parts?

    my list so far.

    1. new style powerfeed plug)
    2. plastic nubbins.
    3. warp style pf plug (might need it for q-loader)

If you have done this upgrade I would like to know if I need anything else, if it is good to replace something, or if you know of anything that might make the upgrade to more smoothly.

    Thanks in advance

sorry I should have been more specific. The question was. What else might i need to replace as far as small replaceable parts that may be worn out or not compatable with the X? Not "What body i should purchase" or "what loader do you prefer".

or have you had problems with the classic body or the q-loader on your mini-mag x-valve upgrade ?

With the HPA bottle (I recommend an 88/4500), I'd assume you weren't planning on going with a vertical bottle. I'd recommend a good drop, if you don't already have one. Everybody likes to have the bottle a certain distance for themselves. I use a full-size Shocktech drop with a 32 Degrees on/off adaptor.

        Hope this helps!

And let us know how it all goes with the QLoader. I, for one, am interested in how it plays out with only ~100 balls in each pod.

thanks for the advice. i've got a number of drops to choose from already (5 to be exact). i should have put that. I basically just don't want to take the x-vavle out of the box and realize that the field strip screw doesn't fit any more or that the detent wont fit, or a need foamies. etc etc.

yeah. q-loader isn't for everyone. but i've played with it and I really like it. The first time I saw a hopper appoxied onto a bushmaster I felt that they were a temporary solution, and I've felt the same way ever since. Reloading is not that hard for me; even more so with the q-loader. Personally I think that the q-loade vs. hopper debate will continue in online forums for the next 10 years, at least. For the meantime it's just a toy, and something to make rec-ball more fun.

i think the qloader is a great idea, that's what i'm doing when i get my mag, have to figure out a way to make it uber balance and slick though....
post a pic when it's finished!
i had the same question, if i get a ule custom, would i need to buy parts such as foamies, shims, screws, etc.?
BTW, it'll be a slug body with blade intell and blue x-valve
