    rt valve question

I have a automag with a rt valve and a level ten with an adjustable nitrogen tank, when i turn the gas pressure on the tank up the trigger is very reactive but the gas efficiency is very bad, you can literally watch the guage on the tank go down with each pull, does anyone have any suggestions on this problem or is it normal? if it is a problem any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated. thanks

It's normal b/c you're using more air every time you shoot.

You can also make sure you use the short spring and the loosest level 10 carrier that doesn't leak. That'll help. But a lower input pressure will go great lengths to help your gas mileage.

      Are you dry firing?

I have done it dry firing as well as with paintballs, both give me the same result. Do you guys think turning up the gas pressure and then turning down the velocity would fix the problem? or does the velocity not change with increase of pressure on the tank?

Turning up your input has nothing to do with efficency. The secondary reg regulates the pressure down to 450-500. REGARDLESS. You are using the same amount of air when you shoot given that your velocity is the same wether it is set at 500psi or 3000psi.

You are using up alot more air also because it is faster. When my RT goes reactive It shoots 24 Balls per SECOND. You dont realize how fast it is.

If you are dryfiring that uses up alot more air.

Turn your velocity down it is probably shooting hot.
