for some reason, when I gassed up my automag the classic valve started leaking through the velocity adjuster. Can you tell me how to fix this?

Turn the velocity down.
If it's NOT chrono-ing over 300FPS and still leaks then you need to replace the reg piston.Logic Paintball Forums

It could also be a piece of dirt somewhere. Remove the regulator assembly from the back and clean it out (the back). Check the o-rings. Replace the regulator o-ring as well.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

all of the o-rings look fine. I tried turning down the velocity but then it started to leak through the barrel.Comment

You may want to get the higher pressure piston. i found this LINK HERE
and if it's leaking down barrel then change o-ring behind your spring/spacer in power tube (and o-ring on tube tip if it's bad too).
Before I play I always run about 3 drops of oil thru AIR valve.
