I just gassed up my classic mag for the first time this year to give it a quick test before i run out to the field tommorow.
The problem is after a shot there is gas leaking out the power tube. Which leads me to believe that it's the on/off assembly. BUT if i smack the back of the valve it stops.
On closer inspection, the valve is actually moving backwards on the shot and hitting the back of the valve is putting it back in the correct position.
So my question is this. If the valve is moving from a shot, does this mean that the frame rail is shot? If so do you have any suggestions for a quick fix to get me playing tommorow.
BTW the thumb screw is in as tight as i can do it by hand. I kind of doubt that using an allen key to make it tighter will help...but it's still an option.
I hope this picture will help a little.
