2 Probs: Velocity and Breakage

I'm having two probs with my marker. Here are the specs first:

-X-valve
-Lvl 10
-ULT trigger
-J&J 2-piece (off an RT Custom)
-Dallara Body
-Y-frame
-Java 88/45K stubby tank

Problem 1:
When I chrono, my velocity varies up to 20 FPS between shots. I was pretty sure that most players only vary a few FPS with similar setups.

Problem 2:
Last time I played (the first time with this setup, as I just finished upgrading pretty much everything), I got several barrel breaks in about 3 hours of play. I'm pretty sure it's not chopping, but breaking down the barrel. This could have been due to old paint, though. I was using some stuff that was pretty old. I'll re-evaluate this problem when I get fresh paint.

Any help with either of these would be great.

The paint may be out of round and/or inconsistent in size. This would definately result in velocity fluctuations and barrel breaks.

Not much you can do about barrel breaks except use the correct sized barrel. After that, there's not much else you have control over.

As for your chrono speeds, are you using the RT Chrono procedure?

Um. I wsan't aware that there was a specific procedure for chronoing it.

EDIT: I found the procedures on AGD's site. I'll try that out next time.
