If you play at one field with one kind of paint, get one that fits that paint and be done with it.

If you play at several fields or use different kinds of paint, a kit may be in order.

    Here's a few suggestions-

    Scepter (personal recommendation)
    Kaner
    Empire
    CP
    J&J

Go with the Freak system, I have had no probs with mine. Yes I know Smart PArts is the devil, blah blah, but they make a great barrel system.

Actually, compared to the other systems listed, the Freak is crap... There's a large reason why I didn't include it.

Their tolerances are god-awful-- the insert sizes aren't always correct, the inserts aren't as smooth as others out there, there's an oring in the barrel to keep the insert centered.

People say "Use the Freak" only because it was the first kit. Doesn't mean it's the best. Not by a long shot.

I've had nothing but good things to say about my Macdev kit, including accuracy, price and fit/ finish (in no particular order).
