help with the front grip screw?

My front grip screw has been over tightened and I need help figuring out how to take it out. Any help is graciously appreciated.

I take it the allen key hole is stripped out then? If so you have several options. One is to take a dremel and very carefully cut a slot in the screw head so a flathead screw driver can take it out. Another is to use a metal workers tool , can't remember the name of it, that you actually hammer into the screwhead and using a pair of visegrips loosen the screw.

Something similar happend to me... basically on a very old rail the screw had rusted and corroded into place... Had to simply drill the screw head out till shank of the screw and it will fall right out... then you can just use Vise grips to twist the screw out of the ASA...

Just a friendly FYI: This generates a lot of heat that travels through aluminium VERY quickly and being the idiot I often am I burnt my fingers picking up a very hot ASA after it fell clear...

        Hope that helps...
