where can i get emag software at and the cable that goes from your emag to the computer ?

Hmm, this isn't something a normal person would be doing. We're talking very low level stuff, so not only would you need a cable, you'd need a device than can program the chip inside the grip. The E-Mag/X-Mag cannot hook straight up to your home PC. I'm not sure what the level of investment is on this kinda of stuff, but if you need more info, try PM'ing BlackVCG or Tunaman. They have been known to perform a software upgrade for a nominal fee (BlackVCG is west coast, Tunaman is east coast).

AGD doesn't release the software to the public. There are several people across the country, as well as AGD themselves that can flash the board. But the normal "joe public" cannot.

is there a BIG dif. between 3.5 and 4.0 i mean is it like a speed dif. or what ?

There IS a difference in what 4.0 and 3.2 gives. But 4.0 is no longer being flashed. 3.2 is what you get. (in fact, 4.0 was only ever beta software.)

Incorrect... AGDJon flashed my first Emag w/ his laptop at the AO-IL gathering at Country Club earlier Feb or March. PotatoBoy just flashed my other Emag last week at the Chicago PSP

What I meant is you can't hook it STRAIGHT up. IE, it doesn't take a serial connection, or USB, or Firewire, etc etc.

There is a special ISP programmer and cable that is used to flash the AVR in the emag. You can get one and make a connector to connect to the emag, but the firmware program is not available from AGD.

I know that Joe Public doesnt have access to the software, but how do these other guys get it?

I figured AGD would WANT people to be able to do this themselves, ala the Raceframe.

The guys that have it either designed it or are factory certified techs. And to answer the next inevitable question, no, you cannot become a factory tech. The classes are invite only.

There's a long line of people who want to go to them before you. Get in line with us and in a few years you may get in.

4.0 includes a Debounce setting and a few other goodies.
