    tourney rules forbid mirrors?????

I saw something like this at Country Club during the SuperTour weekend. It got me thinking. The power of an Emag and Warp... and I don't even have to stick my head out!!!

I haven't looked really deep into it but does anyone know of rules against such a thing?

    Check it:

At my field it's against the rules to hang your gun out and fire with out sticking your head out to see.

I would hate to get to the point were we all have on gun cameras with heads up display's on the inside of our masks.

really not meant to be a flame, but.....

just another cheesey way for people with lack of skill to find a way to play better. that just seems REALLY CHEESEY to me. just learn to play better man. i don't know.

I'm not gettng baited into the flame but it really has nothing to do with skill on my part. It has to do with advantage!!! Any small advantage is worth the effort. I may never use these mirrors....but the one time I need them, it might be the difference between a first place or second place trophy. Get my point? Your opinion is valid though and I see your point.

I also considered the blind shooting rule... but I think that one is arguable with the mirrors since I can see where I'm shooting.

yeah... semi-auto... just another cheesy way for people without skill to play.
And constant air, you never have to change 12grams.... And don't even get me started on bulk loaders.

I think you see my point. The game will change as the technology changes. Stock class is still fun but its not what everyone wants to play. People will always want the newest toys.

unfortunately... I can't remember where I bought that... it was a pilots website and it was originally a keychain. it was something like: http://www.pilotstore.com

That probably isn't the site but will give you a stating point.

                    Good Luck.

NPPL has to ruin all the fun. A bunch of unfun people sitting around all day trying to think of ways to mess up people ideas

what does the rule say that makes it illegal, i cant belive they would think to ban this.

what if i made a speedball field with mirror bunkers, and mirror walls and why not mirror floors and ceiling that would be cool. Then i would have to make paintballs that bounced off of mirrors and broke on people, then paintball would be really a game of angles. I dont know what im talking about.

Anyway it is an origional idea but would hate to see paintball go to cameras and heads up displays like load said

Where is this prohibitted in the NPPL rules?

The only thing close I can find is this:

5.42. Anything not specified in Sections 5.01 through 5.34, inclusive, as permitted shall be prohibited unless allowed by the ultimate judge.

But that would eliminate all red dot sights, scopes, etc if it were read to forbid the mirrors. Also, I didn't see squeegies listed in section 5 either...

Also word searches for the words "mirror" "camera" "periscope" and "video" turned up no hits.

I searched the 2001 rules posted at:

Please don't overestimate the usefullness of these... It's gonna take some practice to ba able to use them at all. It could provide a very negative destraction.
