    Xmag valve leaking

at least I think that's all. i looked in the valve, and the gasket wasn't a pretty sight. it's in two pieces now. The center of the ring has just come out. So I figure that can't be helping, although i know it's a common thing for them to wear out. I'm pretty sure the valve is leaking from the back, and I turned the velocity allll the way down, then i turned it up, little by little. it still leaks. it leaked when there was hardly any velocity at all. So.. I'm stuck. Any help would be much appreciated!

    Welcome to AO

First off though that bumper o-ring is not a pretty sight, all it is supposed to do is act as "a bumper" between the bolt and valve. That kind of wear is common. As a matter of fact, until it actually rips apart you can still use it. Now some people want to get more life out of them and they will Glue the o-rings down to the valve. I suggest you pick up a few extra from the AGD store so you can be set for a year or so.

Now onto the leaking. Does it appear to be coming from the breach (i.e. in where the bolt is)? or somewhere else. You did good by checking the velocity adjuster so if you turned it way in and way out and it did not change the leak it's probably not back there. You might need to adjust your lvl 10 carrier by going up a size (or until it stops leaking but will still shoot).

EDIT... ok I did not really read the last bit super clear so let me suggest that if it leaks out the back even at a really low velocity, your reg piston might be heading south.

Hey how's that green X-Mag working for you? Not so well eh?

Bumper: Yep they wear out. A RT parts kit will fix that.
Venting: Air is coming out the velocity adjustment hole? Even with it chronied below 300fps? You might just try cleaning it before you buy a new reg piston. I doubt that X-Mag's reg piston would be worn/busted/not-up-to-spec.

        it's a pretty x-mag....... but....

I was working with JT, and I think I'm going to get the parts kit, and see what I can do. This thing's been whistling/screaming out of the velocity adjustment. I can't turn the velocity at all anymore. I've talked to tons of people now, and nothing they've suggested has helped. All the o-rings in the valve are fine. I think I'm going to try the parts kit, and if all else fails, send it in. Thanks guys.

That's cool. Let me throw this out,

          1) If you are still having problems with the on-off switch, then let AGD know that too if you send it to them.

          2) I will work on it for you for free. Just pay for the shipping and any parts it needs.

Rock on! The on/off's been fine, so far. Working perfectly since you tinkered with it before. No problems. So thank you for that! I'll definitly keep you in mind, if I can't get it going. Thanks bud!

Replace the reg piston. Mine went south after 4 months or so.
