How come my gun doesn't shoot far?

I just got an Automag and it doesn't shoot far. Is there any way to make it shoot farther? Do they make a flatline barrel for it?

nope no flatline, try turning up the velocity by screwin the nut in the back of the valve clockwise. call agd and get a video, they help alot.

If you want to mess with backspin on a mag look at the Z-body. Other than that check your velocity. That's about the only reason why your lacking distance, if you are. Are other people shooting significantly further than you?

One gun will not shoot further than another, unless they are at differant angels, or there is a spin on the ball.

ok, make sure you are shooting 250-300fps. make sure you have a good paint/barrel match. a bad match can screw up distance and accuracy.

Oh, and it works better when you point your gun away from the ground.

They do technically make a flatline for the mag, but it's not a barrel I have seen Flatline barrels put on Autocockers before, but I have no idea how you would put one on a mag.

Yeah, but the Flatline doesn't screw in. You have to install it some wierd way and I don't know if it will even work with other Tippmann guns besides the 98 custom.

I think something called the Z-body is meant to put backspin on Mags, its a whole new body for mags, thing is it doesnt always backspin the ball - so no one uses them

Flatline works with all M98s, and cockers can be modified to take them. The mag can use a Z-body which is supposed to put backspin on the ball.

It might work with a micromag setup and the flatline for the cocker. But if you're gonna go through all that trouble, fall in love with an emag. You won't worry about the distance anymore :)

Cockers need to be sent in to have the flatline attached, after which they cannot take cocker barrels anymore, only the flatline. You could get one on just about any gun, but it wouldn't be easy, and the average person doesn't have the reasources to do it.
