    Scuba tank fill station question

    Hey,
I just have a quick question on a scuba tank fill station. What exactly is the fuction of that larger screw type device on the end of the fill station? Thanks!

Most fill stations are a yoke that slips around the valve on the scuba tank. The large screw in the back is to tighten it against the o-ring on the face of the tank valve so the station doesnt leak.

Ok, so after that is adjusted you don't need to mess with it during or after you fill tanks?

Yep all it does is hold the yoke to the valve. It doesnt take any part in the filling thats done with the valve on the scuba tank and the pressure relief on valve on the side.
