Cutting the Feedneck of a Warp ULE - Any problems?

I have a Q loader and a warp ULE body, and I want to get a really close fit, so I'd like to take a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of the ule feedneck. Does anyone think this will cause problems?

I cut the feedneck on my powerfeed (stainless) so it would fit the long powerfeed plug for a warp, it hasn't caused any issues (I took a lot of time to debur it to make sure it didn't cut any balls fed from a hopper), but it's painfully obvious that it was done in my garage with a dremel tool on close inspection.

I'm not sure how to get that smooth polished, square cut look with hand tools and more imagination then skill...
