    cocking problem

just bought new bumper for my xvalve with lvl 10, and it still will not cock. when i screw the tank in, it fires, then doesnt recock, ive tried manually cocking it by pushing it back but nothing works.

no, its back but the pin behind the trigger is rather loose, i checked to see if the sear was failing and its fine(the sear is fine)

Pull the on/off assembly and lube all parts of it and then see what happens.

You say the bolt is back, but did you actually put your finger in the breach and give it a push? Sometimes the bolt looks reset but will stop just before it is all the way back. If the sear and trigger resets when you physically push the bolt back then it indicates a level 10 problem and not a valve problem. Check your level 10 carrier size. Use the largest carrier that doesn't leak.

If the manual push back doesn't work then the problem is in the valve. Lub the on/off pin and the regulator pin in the valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

ok, manual cocking doesnt work, unscrewed and rescrewed vavle together, and it started to fire, but sometimes teh bolt sticks forward...new problem? or was it just cuz i had my finger in the breech

Take the valve apart and put a drop of oil on the regulator pin and on the on/off pin. Size the carrier in the powertube as per the proper level 10 setup procedure and make sure to put a drop of oil on the bolt stem when you put it back in the gun. Make sure the velocity is turned up enough to properly operate the valve.

turned velocity till i had only half a turn more and it wouldnt go anymore, now it works, but after about 5 shots it has to be recocked, took valve apart, lubed everything up, fired another 10 shots and had to be recocked, tank pressure was at 2000

Did you resize your carrier, using the largest one that doesn't leak? Use the shortest bolt spring while getting the gun to operate properly.
