Locktight removal

I have some lock tight(blue) on a CP on/off that I need to take off. Can I just put it in warm/hot water, any other liquids? Or do I need to heat it with a blowdryer?

A wrench and some elbow grease will get it moving. No real need to heat it unless it gives you trouble.

actually, it is off. sorry i didnt mention that. its the knob on the CP ASA w/ on/off that has some on it, i just need to take the already dried locktight off. ill try to get a picture so you can get an idea of what im talking about.

Hot water and a wire brush.

I have some dental picks I got at a hobby/modeling store. just run the sharp pointy type along the threads, it should scrape out most of the old locktite.

A blowtorch might melt it off, but then again I look for any reason to use fire.
