Not so perfect hpa tank, will fields fill it?

I got an hpa tank that is still in hydro, but the guage is craked(still works), and the part that screws in by the oring (top by pin) is chipped (does not leak). Just wanted to know if I'll have a prob filling it at a field.

    Thanks

Yes, that chip isn't affecting the cylinder and the gauge is air-tight, it doesn't REQUIRE the plastic, but it is much better off to protect the gauge itself and so it doesn't unwind and hit something

The tank itself is fine, but it's recommended you replace the gauge.

some fields will require that you fix the gauge, to prevent miss readings and over fills which could be very dangerous

They go by gauges on their fillstation, not the tank itself

Yeah, I wouldnt worry about the gauge being cracked. Mine has been cracked for a year now and the stores and fields I fill at have never said a word about it. It's cracked really bad too. You can barely see the numbers.

As long as its still within the hydro date and it doesn't leak you should be good. You should always use the field gauges when filling tanks. They tend to be more accurate than tank gauges. Especially if they use a water gauges or use one to check the accuracy of their fill gauges.

By DOT regulations the tank should not be filled. The gauge shows signs of damage. Even though the gauge is not used during the fill a crack is visible damage warning the filler an initiating event occurred. If the gauge body is also damaged it can blow out at 4500 PSI & kill someone.
