warp always in the way of HPA tank

    hey AO

my tank always seems to have some troubles with my warp... the fill nipple always hits the backside of it leaving some scratches... no matter how i adjust either the tank cover (dye rhino) will hit, or the fill nipple will scratch...

my tank is a 68/4500 and i am using a DOP universal drop.

    any ideas?

    different sized drop?
Can you adjust your warp any further away from your gun?

I couldn't adjust my max flo with the warp on, so i would put on the tank first and then the warp which is a major PITA. I dunno if this helps.
I knew not what I did but am now edumacated

well i could always do that... but as you said, it is a PITA... i was just wondering if there was some way around it...

btw, the warp is futhest away from the gun. sometimes if i adjust it another way, the belly of the rhino tank cover will hit the area where the board is stored...

either way... i think its time for a rail + on/off

depending on how bad it is hitting, you can tighten your fill nipple in some w/ a wrench and it will make it slightly shorter. That will work if it is only like 1mm or less room needed to make it stop hitting.

OR, you can file down the holes on the mounting brackets where it mounts under the drop, to get a bit more room.

You can move the bracket from in between the drop and grip to underneath the drop and that may give you a little bit of room too.

if you work w/ it you should be able to get it to not touch.

how is it a major PITA to put the warp on? All it is is two screws to mount the warp to the bracket, and then connect the hose and put the hopper on. That takes all of what 1 minute. it takes me longer to oil and chrono my gun than it would to do that.

I have a flatline on my setup. No twisting of the bottle required. But a cheaper solution... you can get an ASA with an on/off and a NW Quick Disconnect Block. Mount the block between the warp plate and the drop forward (you maybe able to see that on my markers in the sig).

            1) With the ASA on/off in off, you can twist the tank on.
            2) Slide the ASA/drop forward and tank on and secure the disconnect block
            3) hook up your hoses and turn ASA to on position.

hrm... thats a good idea i think yak told me about it

i was sorta thinking of putting a 90* elbow in the fill nipple hole and the fill nipple into the elbow so it wouldnt be in the way... but it would look really ghetto.
