I'd check out the pure energy tanks, but that's me

Dye always makes quality, I'd expect the same here.

btw, www.paintballgear.com has them for 217 shipped.

    Have fun!

Thanks for the info. I was just about to do a search on that.

dye throttle tanks are horrible, it takes them 170 ms to recharge to 95% of their original pressure after a shot. a crossfire takes 10 ms and cost 30 dollars less, your decision though.

Just get a crossfire they are proven as the fastest recharging tank reg and they are better quality then pmi tanks.

The ONLY good thing about the Dye Throttle is it's light...other than that, it sucks. It uses a schrader valve from tire valve stems, and they break about every other time I take my tank off my gun, don't think those little valves were designed for 850psi. If you like to not play paintball and screw with your POS tank all day, get a Throttle, cause that's what I and a friend did after we bought them

I went through 3 dye throttles; leaks, low out put (600psi), and poor recharge...
if your going to spend that kind of money on a tank for an rt or emag get an adjustable and have peace of mind. If you want to save a few bucks get a pmi or crossfire preset.

I use the Throttle on my 68 Automag without any problems. I have no experience with other air systems, but I am very pleased with this one.

I'm not to impressed with the recharge on my throttle either. It gives almost no reactivity on my RT.
