There have been custom bodies made from scratch, however their quality was questionable and they were obviously not covered by AGD's warranty.

I would definitely recommend using an AGD Slug body as a base for your design.

seems like it would be much easier to use their slug bodies. 150 bucks and you have a lot less to worry about and a lot of excess aluminum to carve out your designs

only problem with that is i have to spend 150$ on each to get started and then sell them for around 200$ to even make it worth my while...plus i cant do some of the designs i would like

if i start from stock i spend about 15$ and sell them alot cheaper 100-120 ide be making more money and selling more bodys plus i could have a built in rail.

thats what im trying to do i think...body rail and sight rail are all gunna be one piece(sight rails pritymuch gunna be for cosmetics)

all i have to do is find out if agd will crack down on me like wgp dose or is starting to...

i also want to make some pneu triggers like punishers customs dose but i dono if they will have a problem with that... guess i have to do some research...

i believe agd stamce is that they dont really care as long as your product doesnt cause problems for them or their customers. ide recoomend slugs to easily meet agd specs otherwise it may be hard to even convinve others to buy it

If you are making a body from scratch, make sure you have a steel "washer" inside the body!! That is a sleeve where the bolt and the bolt spring seat against!! Other than that, if you have the dimensions and the machinery, should be no problem!!

The only problem I have with it is that the Micro Emag tolerances were AWFUL. PTP screwed up when they were doing the bodies. The Micro-Emags require a spacer plate b/c PTP did them wrong. I'd say- make bodies using AGD's correct specs, not PTP's.

thanks for the heads up on the micro mag specs and the steel washer. I have been meaning to pick up an automag for a while this just gives me a good reason

Just buy a 20 dollar standard feed body and use the dimentions, a tube is not difficult to make...a stainless one is, but aluminum is much easier to machine.

The "slugex.dwg" drawing should have most, if not all, of the dimensions you need. And that's straight from AGD.
