The field and one of the stores near where I live use a POWER BOOSTER .

They are faster and have fewer parts, howerver you do need a lower power compressor and a bunch of tanks if you intend to do very many fills. Also the one they have is a Max Air and I have seen them sell for under a $1200.

The pump at our shop will fill 5000 pounds and it cost just over 4000 dollars. We fill is in a really big scuba tank so that when someone comes in we hook it up tp the tank and fill. The tank was like 400

As far as it goes, I'd be interested in one of those hand pumps. If it takes 20 minutes to fill up a 68/30, I could fill up my 48/30 in 15 minutes I'm guessing. Could somebody give us a review of how they work, and where other than ebay to pick one up?
Some one calculated this, It would take alot longer, like hours/days. And I don't think you undestand how much 3000psi is It would be incredibly hard to pump.

          No not really...

The Classic-Mag trigger pull has... how much air behind it? I think it's 450

So if you can pull the automag, imagine that at 6 times that pressure... it's not going to be INSANELY hard, but it'll be hard. Trust me, the old-school apocalypse tanks filled to 4500 had 4500 psi behind a single 1/4" switch... that thing takes a cresent wrench or a really buff guy to turn them on... same with conquests...

We had a conquest with 3000psi, took one person to hold the gun against a table and another person to put all their weight into the switch.

It isn't practical really, you can get a scuba tank at 3000psi which will fill about 2000psi, for around 100 bucks, add 30-40 for a fill station, you can have a local scuba place fill it for a few bucks. You'll only get 7-8 good fills out of it, but that's good enough for a few games at your field or some tinkering at home.

go up to a scuba shop and see if they have one and to see how lang it would take them to fill your tank with one
