ULT shims

how many shims can u get in a ULT because i have 4 in mine but when i try put in 5 the ULT is to thick and when its in the X valve i cannot put the valve back in the gun body
and i noticed in a post just under this one baddog said he has 13 in his what i want to know is how?.

and would it make more of a difference?

my setup right now is 3 shims in my LVL 10 and 4 Shims in my ULT and it fires moderately fast but short strokes often would adding more cut down on the short strokeing and speed up the gun.

or would i have to switch to a smaller carrier to add more shims to the LVL 10 i have the stock carrier in it right now ?

More dose seem to cut down short stroking.........alot. My RTULE came with it and had 2 shims installed and short stroked like crazy. I now have 4ULT shims and 2 LX shims in and it works great. I can't get any more into it. I don't know if messing with your LX will aid you here.

i have like 10 in my ULT since i run it on a Classic i dunno why it wouldn't fit right. Make sure all your shims are lined up on top of eatchother. and as of now i'm tryin to get the short strokeing out of my gun

Just an FYI- 1 Level 10 shim is equal to 2 ULT shims. If you are having a hard time fitting all the ULT shims in, try using Level 10 ones.

IF he cant fit a ULT shim in without getting stuck there is no way he can put in a lvl 10 shim. BadDog has a lot of shims and it works just fine, I see it in action all the time and I dont think he has ever had any problems with it sticking.
