Not that the others are bad.... Its just that they dont do anything more than the stock valve.-Gig 'Em Ags! -

Usually the aftermarket valve parts will only do absolutly nothing, and cause problems as theyre not made to AGD quality and specifications.Comment

i find that after market valves do make it easier to short stroke. i have an ans phase 2 valve body on one of my mags and noticed that they're easier to short stroke than my others. but i do seem to shoot better with them when i'm not short stroking. just what i've noticed. if you want, get an rt on/off. i have it in my regular mag and it makes the trigger pull lighter.Last edited by TheBigRaguPB4L; 12-28-2001, 10:44 PM.http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...light=feedback

Does this work? Does this fit right in a normal valve?Originally posted by TheBigRaguPB4L

why yes, yes sir it works. it comes with the smaller oring on the pin and then you just need the larger one that goes on the bottom. you need the whole on/off assembly. it runs for about 30 bucks, but it's defintiely a bettter on/off. cause if you think about it, the rt was meant for faster bps, so a rt on/off was designed to be a little faster. hope this helps.http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...light=feedback

Co2?
If you put the RT on/off in the classic valve, can you still use co2 in your Mag? Personally I don't use co2 but thought maybe you knew the answer.

Are we talking about the RT Pro/Retro on/off valve or the old original RT on/off?
Thanks

the reason you can't use co2 on an rt is cause the orings aren't made for the liquid. they tend to freeze up faster at the higher rof that the rt produces with co2. that's why you're only supposed to use nitro or comressed air. the rt on/off i would assume would have those type of orings so i would say no. if you perhaps replaced those orings with original AM orings i think you would, but then that would eliminate the puropose of puting the rt on/off. might as well just keep the original on/off. if anyone knows any better, by all means correct me, but i'm pretty sure this is all accurate info.
and i'm pretty sure out of all the rt's, the on/off is the same. i can't say for the rt pro, but the rt and retro on/off's are the same.http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...light=feedback

i was pretty shure the reason that you cant use co2 on an rt is because it cant handle the expansion forom liquid to gas bc it recharges so fast and it wouldnt have time to expand or something like that, im almost completly shure it has nothing to do wiht the o ringsComment

Supposedly the Z-valve is the only one that works as advertised. But it only works sometimes due to tolerances and such.
small mods can fix it, but I'd personally stick with the stock stuff.

How would a R/T on/off valve work in an A.I.R valve? R/T is square on bottom and A.I.R. is round, how does this work? Do you have to mill off square edge?Comment

when i get some money i will buy a r/t assembly & i will try it out. i dont think u would have to round off the edges, because if u look at the bottom of your AIR valve, its kinda square like the bottom of the rt on/off assembly.Comment

you were right. i'm not sure about the o-ring part though. co2 can't handle that high of a recharge rate without stayign liquid and ruining the valve.Originally posted by dorksquad
