RT, LVL X valve question...

I have a quick question. A friend of mine set my gun up, ran sweet for a little while. Now its started leaking, alright I remove the valve and for the bumber, there is a single rubber band looking thing... not at all like on my minimag valve. Now this pitiful thing is starting to decay and leave junk in my marker. This can't be AGD, I'm wondering if perhaps there is a marker that uses a small bumper and he mistakenly put that in this one? I dont know, all I know is the thing isn't running very well, leaks and the rubber band doesn't look like it should be there... Anyway, thx for reading this. Later all.

er... upon closer inspection.. the thing used to be a large rubber disc, but it looks like the thing was sheared apart. Any ideas?

If it was clear, then yes, it used to be a RT bumper. They wear out after a while.

Hmm but after about a case of paint? Been dry firing it like crazy to practice the responsive trigger... but jeez. :P Oh well, just gotta buy a couple for emergencies I suppose.

Dryfiring it will wear it out quicker.

yeah, dryfiring makes every rubber thing in your gun wear ut slower, just some faster then others.
