    A lighter RT PRO

I am thinking of ways to lighten my gun. It's really not too heavy but I would like it to be a little lighter on those long days. Besides lifting weights, what can I do. I saw that the Jax Warriors emags were lightened a half pound!!! Probably most of that was the battery pack from the looks of them. What about the rail? Is there something I can do to lighten it? Anyone do anything or even care?

You could take off the sight rail and get a 45/4500 tank. other than that, I dont think you can do a whole lot. (besides lift some weights!) :)

I took the top rail off. It just seemed unnecessary and now it more sleek. I still want to do more though besides the tank. I thought I could cut down the rail or get a diff rail that is lighter. Anyone do this?

if you felt confident enough you could hack saw or band saw or lathe the shroud off, it doesnt really do anything

You could go to a remote air setup as well. It would have a major impact on the weight reduction. Those other things are fine for a few ounces here and there, but it'd be hard to really notice a reduction in what you're holding.

those are both good ideas. How much lighter is a micromag/minimag body?
