Putting my X-Valve onto my e-mag

Ok, I'm thinking about taking the X-Valve off my RT Pro and putting it on my emag. I know i'm gonna have to switch out my on/off assembly into the X-Valve as well as the quad oring. But my question is, is the LX gonna need retuned if I put it on my emag?

sometimes it does need retuning, sometimes it doesnt. Usually, if it does need to be re-tuned, its not by much.

Ok, so the re-tuning would most likely be changing a carrier then?

its likely. When I changed my valves out, I dropped to a smaller carrier. It was still kinda tight, but it wore in after a game or two.

The carrier allows the o-ring to fit the bolt stem. Those tolerances won't change, since the bolt and valve are remaining together. So, you shouldn't have to change the carrier size. You may have to change the number of shims since the sear may cause the bolt to sit farther forward or back from where it was previously.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Ok, how does a mag act when there's too many, or too little shims?

more shims cause the bolt to vent earlier.
