I Have a Level 7 classic valve, minimag body, intellyframe and an 88/45 crossfire tank. I have fought with consistency on this gun since I bought it. 2 years ago. (I get +/- 30) my freeflow using the same crossfire tank gets +/- 5 with average paint. My tippmans get +/-3 on co2 (with an occasional spike) I have rebuilt the valve with the parts kit and nothing changed. I still have the star on my valve. Should I send it in?

That's really odd...
Try a new Reg Seat. You're not running it though a inline reg or anything are you?Classic RT - RT02667

I'm having the same problem, although my consistancy isn't quite as bad. The gun has been sent in to AGD twice, for different reasons, and when they return it to you they tell you what it chrono'd at - according to them it gets +/- 3 fps running @ 775 psi. The best I've been able to get is +/- 8 or so, using Co2 (using HPA was actually worse!). Maybe it has something to do with the tank?Comment

you could have the wrong size spacer in the power tube or put the reg seat in wrong!! other than that i have never had a problem like that in any of the mags i own/ work with!VV04962 yeah thats my Pewter CnC X-mag

The reg seat shouldn't affect consistancy unless it is dirty or damaged. The only reason you put it in tight end first is so it doesn't fall out on the ground when you unscrew the valve halves.Comment

How well does the paint fit to your barrel?
Is the valve oiled?
What velocity are you trying to shoot at?
When you send a gun into AGD, they test fire it with nylon balls that are exactly the same weight and a perfect sphere. If there's any problem in the valve, shooting those balls over the chronograph will show it. They are able to get about +/- 3fps or less out of Mags by shooting those balls. Keep in mind that getting +/- 5-10fps isn't bad at all for average paint. Also, remember that chronographs have a margin of error.
A dirty barrel with oil or dirt in it will cause velocity issues.Comment

Thanks for all your help. I was able to get the gun out today and oil everything (As I had many many times before). It shot more consistently than ever!!! +-10 this was on co2 and dimpled paint. I cannot dream of what caused the sudden change But I Am happy. I will let you know if the problem returns.Last edited by A.T.S; 08-04-2004, 09:46 PM.Peace :)Comment
