    Anodizing quality?

I just picked another X-Mag, and I must say, the Anodizing quality severly lacks compared to my first X-Mag. It is pitted, and the entire lower area where the valve sits has areas that did not take color. The marker is brand new... do I have any recourse with AGD to get a new body or re-ano? color is black-red fade. My first X came with scratches on it from the factory, so AGD is batting ZERO when it comes to finishes as far as I am concerned.

I am sure that if you are unhappy with it you can send it back. They will do it over. I blame the polisher....not AGD. Granted, if the QC at AGD passed it, then they must have figured the quality was as good as the others or better. If you need it to come out perfect, every part should be hand-sanded and reinspected prior to polishing. I know where you are at Bro...I like them perfect too.
P.S. It has been my observation(and everyone elses too) that due to the marker being made up of various high quality alloys only the finest anno guys will take the time to soak parts at the proper times and temps taking into account the alloy being annoed. The different alloys will never take the anno the same. Forget the polished finish and go with the dust finish. They come out freakin' great every time.

I am assuming from the way you are writing you have seen this exact thing before? If so, how well was it handled? How long did it take?

Do you know anywhere I could get a dust finish ano, same color combo? How long...?

I am trying to figure out what options I have, and whats the quickest. If I could get a great job done in a week or two Vs. getting a free one and waiting 6 weeks... I will pay!
