    valve compatablity questions

    ok will a rt valve work with a classic rail /sear?
    how about a ReTro? (work with classic rail/sear)

    so basicly are the rails/sears all the same?

      NO.

      You can't use a classic sear on an RT Pro rail and vice versa. The sears are different for the different rails.

      The valves, however will work on other rails with the change of the on/off pin length.

        Okay, both the posts above me are confusing, I re-read Day's post twice and know what he means (and he is right of course), but just incase its hard to parce out...

        An RT Valve will work on an RT rail as well as an AM/MM Rail. However, each of those rails have different sears/sear pins with them (plus a different on/off pin length). If you have an RT Valve and want to put it on a classic rail, you need to keep the CLASSIC sear and pin, but put a classic on/off pin into the RT Valve.

          Yeah, Dayspring is correct...I was using an Omega body rail, and both sears worked in there..
