Safety came out

Ok, I am trying to reinstall my safety, and no clue what I lost or how to do it.

The thing fell out in dissassembly, I saw a spring go flying and managed to get the big piecee (the piece you actually press on). What all do I need to reinstall it and how do I do it?

You need the spring and the ball detent:

Put the spring in the hole and the ball on top of the spring. Now comes the fun part. You have to compress the spring without the ball coming out while sliding in the safety. I used the tip of an Xacto blade to press down on the ball to compress the spring while sliding the safety in. Good luck.

Is there something in that hole to keep the spring from fallign through, cause it seemed to me like the spring fell thorugh when I tried to put it in there.

If I remember correctly the hole does not go all the way through. The spring sits on the bottom of the hole and sticks above the top of the hole. Finding that little ball is going to be a big problem. It happened to me once. The spring and ball came flying out. I was lucky and found them. I learned a valuable lesson: never take the safety out.
