Dye Throttle Tank For Automag a good choice?

Is a dye throttle tank a good choice for a automag ule ?
I was going to fill it up, and was told that my pin on my regulator is "illegal" and when bent at all will blow into my gun and he wont fill it past 1000. Which works decent for a while but then when it gets too close to empty it will shoot horribly and will start to leak. Is this normal ? Any other tank that would be good for the equiv amount of money as a dye throttle tank ? Any suggestions or comments?
    Thank You.

They're a bit expensive for a preset, i'd think you'd be better off with a Nitro Duck X-Stream Adjustable for just a little more.

That guy is full of crap. I had a throttle and never had any problems with it. The regulator only puts 800 PSI to the shrader valve. The only thing I didn't like is the flow rate. It gave very little reactivity on my RT so I switched to an adjustable. It should be fine for a classic valve tho.

Actually afultz075 is right. He didn't say the Throttle was bad, he stated a fact. They are expensive for being a preset tank and a Mag works better with an adjustable. The Nitro Duck X-stream adjustable is in the same price range as the Throttle and is arguably the best screw-in on the market.

Would a 2k3 Mac Dev Conquest be good for a automag ?
Its slightly used, but they want 200 for it...
I looked at the nitro duck ones...
            Any suggestions?
I really dont have a choice, i kinda hafta get a new one or find somewhere else to fill or get the equipment to fill myself. Which i dont have th emoney for at the moment.
I paid about 220 for the dye throttle so itd break about even.

No, the Conquest is a low pressure output. A mag needs somewhere in the 700-900 range to function properly, the MacDev maxes out at 650 i believe.

Go with the nitro duck Xtream if you want an adjustable tank for a good price.

I use a Dye Throttle, works perfectly for me
