    Bad mag problems

I recently got a used mag, completely stock except for a cp barrel. As soon as I put air in from my crossfire 68/4500 tank, it started leaking. The tank is fine. I was told to adjust the back reg valve until it stopped leaking and shot. It would shoot up to 30 times and then it would stop and either leak or the trigger rod would not come out anymore . I was then told it was the valve. Some guy gave me a never used bolt, botl spring, bolt o ring, blue washer, and the two parts to the valve directly under the bolt, the gold colored things. I figured that was good. I then fired around 200 psi from my tank, and it shot fine. Then I put in paint, and it would shoot fine, then the next two shots would go really short or not fire at all. Would someone please help me? I think it might be o-rings, last time I looked I had one in the bolt spring, one in the back half of the reg, then that clear think ring above the thing that looks like a german hand grenade. Please email me back or post

Put 3-5 drops of PBGun oil in the on-off (the part with the pin in it on the back 1/2 of the reg)
      Try again

Yes or I also would suggest that you buy a rebuild kit and cange out all them o-rings and stuff ,lube up your mag with some oil and dry fire (take off your barrel).Good luck buddy

How old is the valve? I bought an older mag, used, and the owner also used co2, I had the same problem. Turns out the older valves had lower pressure regulatorpiston assemblys in them (That little copper thing with a screw in it). I had to replace mine when i started using HP otherwise it would leak like crazy. So this could be the problem but I suggest looking into this more.

From what im reading it sounds like you took your valve apart. Did you take the regulator body (back half of the valve) apart? did you pull the rubber piece off that slides onto the pin or was it attached to the back half of the valve? if you did most likely your going to need a new regulator seat(thats what that small piece is). This regulator seat snaps onto the back half of the valve and makes a clicking noise. I had the same problem. This little regulator seat can cause velocity problems and that could be causing the first shot to be fine and then the rest to drop off.

For the trigger not coming back i would suggest taking your on/off pin assembly off and cleaning and oiling the hell out of it.

Is the gun leaking out the velocity adjuster? or side of the valve? If its leaking out the side or back of the gun check your regulator piston. Take the velocity adjuster out and spring pack. Stick an allen wrench into the regulator piston (brass encasing an allen wrench screw) and slide it out the back of the gun. There should be an oring on it.I took mine out because it was pretty beat up, pieces of the oring were coming off when i was cleaning it. Hope this helps you!
