    Just got my Tac One...

...and I friggin' love it. As an A5 owner, I now understand the meaning of real quality.

The only thing is, where the hell do I start with this whole macro line deal? You all know that the A5 comes built "plug and play" style. I don't have a clue how to deal with the Tac One yet.

Do you guys have any suggestions? I want to run a remote line to an air america 88/4500 with built in reg. Does the agd site have any instructions or guidelines? Are they here at automags.org?

    Please help!

    THANKS!

Okay, you need three things. Two 90 degree macroline fittings and a foot of macroline hose. Should cost you $5 a fitting and about a dollar for the hose. (or buy it used from me) Anyways...

Okay, get some thread tape, or loctite (see thread above about which loctite to use). Put some of the thread locker onto the top threads of the fittings. Screw one of them into the ASA and screw one of them into the valve. The fittings should be able to swivle to face each other. Screw those in until you really can't get it further (don't hurt yourself trying to over tighten). Then push the macroline all the way into each of the fittings. Screw in your tank. If you hear a leak, leave the tank on and identify where the leak is coming from. Fix that part of the airline and you are all set.

    Cliff Notes:

You need 2 90 degree macroline fittings and a foot of macro line
Lock in the two fittings to the ASA and the valve
    Connect that macroline
Gas up and check for leaks

Easiest way to identify where the leak is coming from is to either spray the fittings with a mixture of soap and water or dunk the entire gun in water. (Yes, it's water proof mostly. One screw may get some surface rust.)

If you want to run a remote line, the easiest would be to have a 90 degree stainless steel fitting from the valve. Then a male quick disconnect into the 90* fitting. Then you can put your female quick disconnect fitting directly on the male. This would totally bypass the need for an ASA since you want to run remote. One less thing to leak if you ask me...

pointm@n brinbgs up a good point, do you want to only be able to run remote, or do you want to be able to throw a tank on? if you only want to run remote, point's suggestion would be the best. You plug directly into the valve and don't have any other hoses. You can also remove the ASA from the bottom of the grip. However if you think you might want to attach a tank, I'd run the macro like was originally suggested and use an ASA plug with the male end of the quick diconnect for the remote attachment.
