    Bolt bumper Q's

    Hello all,

Running an x-valved Emag, but in a relatively short period of time, say 1-2 cases of paint, the clear rubber bumper begins to tear. It still works, but can loose proper position.

I know the old rt's ran with a harder Blue bumper.

Anyone running x-valve with the blue bumpers?
    More recoil?
    Noisier?
Any tricks to making the clear ones last longer?

    Just wondering -Thanks

The blue ones work just fine. I think there is an insignificant amount of added recoil. To make your clear bumper last longer try gluing it down so that it cannot move. Should extend the life of the bumber quite a bit.

I have Crazy glued mine down but when the glue hardens and I shoot a case through it it comes off again. Torn. So the blue one works fine? I heard it can prematurely break parts.

Would loctite blue or green work ok?? My dad has some extra strength super glue down stairs, would that still be ok and would it leave that hard residue behind?

no i dont think loctite will work

just use some super glue be sure to clean it a little with some alcohol so it sticks better

but will it leave that hard to get off residue on the back half of the valve?

                      you just use alcohol again.
its worth it your bumper time doubles if you glue it down

Ask anyone that has sent their gun into me for a tune-up. I glue down a new bumper with the IC-2000 glue and I don't believe anyone has a had a problem.

The difference in the IC-2K glue and crazy glue and other similar products is that the IC-2K has a rubber binder material added to it so that it is a bit more flexible than crazy glue so it won't crack under stress.

You just need to make sure you prep the surface with rubbing alcohol, the same with the side of the bumper to be glued and give it time to fully cure. The result will be a bumper that will never wear out.

I have an old blue bumper. Its pretty much worn in. Can it be used in an X-valve?
