    1 star A.I.R valve?

    Hello everyone,

I am new to automags.org, but have been paintballing for close to three years, and for 2 of those years, have played with my Tippmann Pro/Carbine by my side. Recently, i've been getting an urge to get a new gun, but didn't know what. I was talking on paintballchat.net IRC and it hit me, why not an Automag? I can't think of anything sexier than a Classic Mag. I love how the carbon fiber frame looks.

Now on to the real question, what is this 1 Star AIR valve that I read in the classic mags description? I've seen ones with multiple stars, and would like to know what it means. And could you offer any suggestions for upgrades, new parts?

    Thanks.

Each star counts as a free repair from AGD. I think the newer valves only have one star but older ones came with more. If your valve only has one then you'll only get the one free repair. Most guns don't need any free repairs. Don't buy any valve upgrades that aren't made by AGD, they're a complete waste of money.

The number of stars denotes how many times it can be serviced under warranty.

With a one star valve, it can be repaired under warranty one time, 3 stars = 3 times, and so on.

Upgrades, I recommend a ULE body and an RPG Vert. Frame.

Ok, I see now. When I started reading the post, I was a bit nervous, it kind of sounded like they need alot of repairs, but I am glad that was cleared up. Thanks for the info.

yeah don't worry. I got my gun used and it still has the one and only star on it, and i've never needed to send my gun off to AGD. Mags are some of the most reliable and durable guns around, especially the all stailess steel classics. If anything does go wrong you can rebuild the valve yourself with a $20 parts kit. This forum will also help you get through any probs you could have. There are a number of "high flow" aftermarket internals available but they don't do anything but waste your money.
